Where are you Spring??

Gah, now I know why I don't go outside, its effing FREEZING! It was 23 degrees again today, but we had to go grocery shopping. I also wanted to do some other shopping but poor Sass...it was too much for her too. So we just got some groceries and stopped at one store. Brrrrr...I am ready for Spring!

But Sass looked really cute today in her Gymboree Gingerbread girl outfit! I found a cute dress for her B-day pics today though so....that's one good thing!!

Sass loves Monkey George, what she calls Curious George. She will grab her blanket and anything else and sit in her princess papsan chair and sit still for the whole half hour. Its pretty cute how captivated she gets, nothing holds her attention like monkey george.

Don't mind the living room it gets pretty rough during the day haahahaha, but that's what happens when you have a toddler running around. I really think my efforts are wasted every day when I pick up the mess. It literally looks like that 15 minutes later!

We are in the process of still fixing up the downstairs to convert into a playroom. We are still unpacking and getting rid of a ton of stuff, so we have random piles and boxes down there still. Not to mention, it doesn't stay real warm down there...we have some space heaters that work, but it takes a while for them to heat up.

We have these, and they work awesome. They help keep our gas bill down.

That reminds me, see that ugly green paint?? Yah, its going  bye bye, probably next weekend. Its too much for us and its hard to decorate around. We are getting a tan color that is fresh and neutral and will make the living room bright.  I think we are eventually going to paint the guest bedroom and Sass's horrible yellow bathroom as well....who picked these colors?? They are just horrid.

Sass has been covering up with the living room rug lately, she cracks me up. She says she is going to sleep and grabs her blanket and closes her eyes...she is a funny girl! She has such a wonderful personality.

And the last bit of news, I had to go and buy a cheapo scale since we haven't found our nice scale...sucks too because I haven't been able to track my weight gain till now. I am 130 as of 6:00pm, and that was after a day of eating and clothes on so...I think I am doing pretty well for being 16 weeks. I am going to weigh in the morning to see what my actual weight it though. And McSass pants weighs 32lbs. My big girl!

Here is our pitiful 7 dollar scale. (it works, I used a weight to make sure it was accurate).

Bad thing about this scale aside from it not being digital, is you have to put the red line thingy on zero after every use lol...it keeps moving...its a piece of junk!

another unexciting day in my household....but some good eats!

It is sooo cold outside, I like to stay warm and toasty in my house, and not go out unless I have to. 23 degrees! Brrr...

I got one of those pregnancy headaches that don't like to go away for anything today so I took a nap. I slept from 12:30-5:30! Maaaaan it was nice. I love weekends!

It was crazy windy outside today, and its so loud it rattles the windows and it really excites Sass. She gets this surprised look on her face, yells WIND and runs to the window. She is funny.

So today was one of those normal days, Sass demanding milk and cheese and "nute nacks" every hour on the hour.  Running up and down the stairs and running around all crazy..:) But it's days like this I love....she is a joy to be around.

One of the highlights to my day (hey, I am pregnant! Food is always a highlight!) was that Michael went and picked up Outback to go! YUM-O!! Bread, their yummy salad with extra ranch and a 9oz juicy steak smothered in spicy, rich A1 sauce, and you can't forget the mashed potatoes on the side.....SO GOOD. Hell, I could eat another helping!!!

Also wanted to add, tonight is night 3 of no paci for Sass!! WOOOOO! Good because she chewed the crap out of the last remaining ones she had!

Wow...2010?!

I admit I haven't been the best at blogging, but I made it a part of my New Year's Resolutions to keep up with them!

So a few back things, Christmas was great. It was just Hubby, Sass and I, but it was a great time. Hubby and I opened our gifts up on Christmas Eve so that Sass could have Christmas morning to herself, and so I could take pictures. She loved opening the presents, since she was too young last year, I really enjoyed watching her.

We live in Virginia now, I can't really say that I miss Hawaii at all, maybe just the nice warm weather. Though I am glad we finally had a white Christmas this year!

And let me tell you, it was white! We got around 20 inches the weekend before, Sass had a wonderful time playing in the snow for the first time.

In other exciting news I am almost 16 week pregnant with our second. I am through all the morning sickness thankfully. This one was worse than Sass, but now I feel wonderful, though still a bit tired.

Well now that Christmas is over, and Sass got some new toys, I think I need to pack up some of her old ones, my house have been overrun by play food!

I got this awesome piece of machinery for Christmas, I use this thing everyday!

and it does nifty things like this...

And Sass oblivious to the disaster in the house that she created....running around like usual. She is such a funny little girl! Oh sorry...BIG girl. :) She tells us she is a big girl and not a baby!
